One of my favorite Substack writers is Nate B. Jones for fabulous AI news and tools/tips. I think of him as the Sherlock Holmes of AI news – he finds clues of what is happening with AI that the rest of us don’t always see.
Nate posted a detailed article in late June 2025 about how to be ready for ChatGPT-5. There is no formal date announced yet, but the rumors say July 2025.
Embedded in his article is a list with details for his 39 essential prompts. A lot has changed in ChatGPT over past versions and with the new release, users may need to evolve how they ask prompts. Nate has provided a list of his essential prompts with great detail.
Each prompt includes:
Introduction to the prompt
Your input needed
Tool instructions
Output format
Nate has done the hard work for you – he tested the prompts technically and repeatedly. His article also explains why we should plan to prompt differently to best leverage ChatGPT. His lengthy Substack article is worth the time to read.
